I’ve been wanting to redecorate a few places in our home starting with our guest bathroom upstairs. This bathroom gets used quite a bit because we do get visitors often (when you live in Las Vegas that tends to happen). So I really wanted a place that was nice and inviting when we have guests over. The bathroom previously just had a light blue vinyl shower curtain, a white bath rug, and a pretty ocean photo I found online.
We are currently renting so we couldn't do too much to the space to change it up, but adding a few items with a little more color would definitely help spice up the place.
The guest bathroom has this beach vibe currently, so I thought adding some more deep blues would work great in this space. Walmart has a new exclusive line you can find in store and online called Gap Home that has so many items that would fit this look. This line has a ton of home decor options that are made with the planet in mind by using recycled materials and organic cotton. You can check out their different high-quality items in these categories: Bedding, Home Decor, Kitchen, & Bathroom.
Ok.. so back to the bathroom design. As you can see from the before picture on the left that there really wasn't much going on in this space. So here is what I added:

These small additions really made a big impact on the look and feel of the space and it feels so much more inviting. I also love that the towels we have for the guest bath are a specific blue color that is different from all the white towels we use as a family. This will help me know exactly where they need to be and insures guest will always have their own towels to use. Eventually this bathroom will be used more by our kids as they get older and I love that it still has a grown up feel to it, but the beach vibes give it a little fun. Adding a few things like a cute bath mat or a fun faucet cover will still give it that kid vibe while still keeping the space adult guest friendly.
NEXT PROJECT
Now I am off to my next project to tackle which is the nursery. This one is going to be a challenge for me because although it will be the nursery it will still be a guest room as well. So I will need to find a way to fit a queen sized bed, crib, rocking chair, and dresser into this space without it being too cramped. I will be doing my next blog post on that and have my eye on a few items from Gap Home I could use in this space as well. Count down to baby is definitely underway so I am hoping we can get it all done before she arrives. Happy Decorating ❤️
